If you are committed to the empowerment of people and communities, with a flair for community development, and a passion for housing and justice, we want to hear from you.  We have an exciting opportunity to join our small and dynamic staff team as full time Outreach Worker (Maternity Cover).

The Outreach Worker role is fundamental to strengthening the representative base of the Federation.  You’ll provide high quality development support to local tenants’ and residents’ groups to enable people and communities to flourish and generate impact in their local areas and citywide.

To shine in this post you’ll be educated to Degree level, with experience of working with community groups.  A brilliant organiser and communicator, you’ll be able to translate complex information into simple language and be able to confidently engage openly and honestly with people.

Universal Credit Locality Events

Universal Credit full service is being rolled throughout the City of Edinburgh on 28th November 2018. In anticipation of this, Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations Council are hosting four locality events to provide information and networking opportunities for public and third sector partners.  There are 80 places available for each event, and registration is via the Eventbrite links below. You need to type in the password ‘universal’ to access each event page.

For each event, registration and refreshments will be from 9:00-9:30 am and then the programme will run from 9:30 am-12:30 pm.

North West Locality – Tuesday 23rd October 2018, West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre, 19 West Pilton Grove EH4 4BY.  You can book a place by clicking here.

The event will provide organisations with an opportunity to learn about the Universal Credit full service, what support is available to claimants, as well as offering you the chance to raise any questions.
